Kristi & Daves Dec vacacation Part 6

Day 6, Thursday - our last full day:

A beautiful day! I do the usual - pack the beach stuff, find our spot and eat breakfast. Front row again and I couldnt wait to get out there. Dave wants to take the cart for one more trip around the island before returning it. He puts on his sad face so I would come with. OK, a quick trip. Guess what...the headlights NOW work! What?! Oh well.

It was a nice trip and before long I was back on the beach enjoying the sun. There is a massage "tent" near by and the people Ive talked to coming out of there said it was great. It was 51usd + tax for an hour long massage on the beach. I talk myself into it and I thought it was wonderful! I should have done this my first day, I was so relaxed. I float around the ocean for a while just trying to soak this all in since I dont know when well be back. I couldnt believe we were leaving in the morning. Dont you just hate that feeling? I walk back up to our spot to get as much sun as I could before Dave wants lunch.

Lunch - Dave wants to try this place on the corner of Juarez and...something. A little place called the "Original Poc Chuck". I was reluctant to go in but he insisted. Wow, Im so glad we went! I think we will be stopping here every trip from now on! I ordered the nachos (50p), Dave had chicken tacos (3 x 30p) and 2 cervesas (20 p/cervesa). Delicious! We couldnt even finish all of the nachos.

We grab a 6 pk of Sol someplace, I purchase some hand crafted glasses from El Publito for Christmas presents and head for the beach. Time was just going so fast.

No siesta today, I just dont want to miss anything. We get ready and stop by Miguels for drinks before supper for some chit chat and say our goodbyes. I had a sample of Miguels mojitos the other night and I ordered that for happy hour. Dave, normally a Budweiser guy orders margaritas again. I finished both of the mojitos well before Dave was done, excellent mojitos Miguel!!

We better eat... On our way down Hidalgo, Pablo sees us coming...hmmm, Im kinda craving that garlic shrimp again and so I give Dave a look. Yes! Pablo was very attentive as usual (I think, lol) and my shrimp was as good as I remember, yumm! Dave ordered fish but, they were out (yes, out of fish, bummer!) so he ordered chicken fajitas. Dave said that the fajitas at La Lomitas beat Argentines hands down. It was getting ready to rain and Pablo took care of us. Thankfully I took the umbrella in our room with us even though Dave said we wouldnt need it...haha!

It was a nice warm rain and we slowly walked back to our hotel, under the umbrella. Nite nite.

Got up early the next morning to make the 7:30am ferry and we actually made the 7:00 one. No breakfast though. Isla in the early morning is quite the peaceful site. I know we will be back.

A few side notes: Cecila, always remembers us and I always buy something, shes so sweet:

My henna tatoo from the same guy who also did my henna in March. He remembered me too:
